Sharing stories of the land under our feet

Thinking in geological timescales has really made me reflect on our place as humans in relation to our natural environment.

Hi, I’m Mathilde Braddock and my passion is sharing the stories of the landscape and rocks of our planet, (re)connecting with the world around us in new ways.

Through my work, I share the knowledge gained during my geology masters at the University of Bristol in an accessible manner. I engage participants in conversations about environmental issues in a safe and supported context, bridging the gap between the deep history of our planet and the world we see today.

If you have any questions about the walks or work I do, or an idea of a collaboration…

Mathilde tied together social history, material culture, and deep time in one seamless narrative. Her knowledge of the city and the strata that underlie it was both deep and broad, and helped me to appreciate the landscape in new ways.
